Important Notice
AmpRegs AI is provided as an administrative and documentation aid only. It is intended to assist suitably qualified, competent and lawfully authorised electrical professionals in preparing, recording and issuing electrical certification and compliance documentation under BS 7671 and related legislation. It does not, and is not intended to, replace professional competence, training, judgement, inspection skill, testing knowledge or any statutory or scheme obligation.
1. No Guarantee of Compliance
Whilst we make reasonable efforts to keep the Platform aligned with the current edition and amendments of BS 7671 (the IET Wiring Regulations), the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, the Building Regulations (including Approved Document P), DNO requirements, Engineering Recommendations G98, G99 and G100, MCS standards, the IET Code of Practice for EV charging equipment and other relevant standards, we give no warranty, representation or guarantee that any output, calculation, validation, suggestion or document produced by the Platform is accurate, complete, current or compliant with any particular regulation, standard or scheme requirement.
2. Final Sign-Off Lies with the Competent Person
Every certificate, report, schedule, observation, code, recommendation and signature produced via the Platform must be independently checked, verified and approved by the competent person, the qualified user, the engineer, the inspector/tester, the supervisor and/or the Qualified Supervisor (QS) before it is issued or relied upon.
3. AI-Generated Suggestions
Any AI-generated observations, codes (C1, C2, C3, FI), wording, transcriptions, calculations or photo analyses are advisory only. AI Outputs may contain errors, omissions or content that is unsuitable for a particular installation. You must apply your own professional judgement to every AI Output and accept full responsibility for any content you adopt.
4. Test Results, Cable Length Estimates and Calculations
Calculations such as estimated cable lengths derived from R1+R2 measurements, Zs validation, prospective fault current checks and any other validation produced by the Platform are based on standard tabulated conductor resistance values and assumed conditions (including a default temperature factor). Real-world conductor resistance varies with temperature, manufacturing tolerance, parallel paths, termination quality and the presence of joints, spurs or broken ring conductors. All such outputs must be treated as indicative only and verified against site conditions and your own measurements before any compliance decision is made.
5. Calibration and Test Instruments
The Platform does not verify the calibration, suitability or correct operation of your test instruments. The user is solely responsible for using instruments with valid calibration certificates and applying the correct test procedures.
6. Photographs, Signatures and Uploaded Content
The Platform stores photographs, annotations and electronic signatures as you provide them. We do not verify the authenticity, accuracy, location, date, content or authority of any uploaded image or signature. You are solely responsible for the integrity of all such content.
7. Offline Mode and Synchronisation
The Platform offers offline working with delayed cloud synchronisation. Sync depends on your device, operating system, browser, network connectivity and available storage. We accept no liability for data loss, sync failure, conflict resolution outcomes or delays caused by factors outside our reasonable control. You should regularly verify that your data has synchronised and maintain your own backups where appropriate.
8. Third-Party Services
The Platform integrates with third-party services including hosting, payment, AI, mapping and address-lookup providers. We accept no liability for outages, errors, inaccuracies or changes in any third-party service.
9. No Professional Advice
Nothing produced by the Platform constitutes legal, regulatory, engineering, design, insurance, accounting or tax advice. You must seek independent professional advice where appropriate.
10. No Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for any loss or damage of any kind arising from reliance on the Platform, including incorrect certification, failed inspections, enforcement action, prosecution, loss of accreditation, NICEIC/NAPIT scheme issues, client disputes, financial losses and indirect or consequential losses. The full limitation of liability is set out in our Terms and Conditions.
